Responsibilities:

Project Assessment:

- Evaluate project specifications, blueprints, and other documents to understand the scope of work.
- Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.

Cost Analysis:

- Conduct thorough cost analysis for materials, labor, and equipment required for construction projects.
- Research and stay updated on market trends, pricing, and industry developments to ensure competitiveness.

Estimation Preparation:

- Prepare detailed and precise project estimates, taking into account all relevant costs and potential risks.
- Utilize estimating software and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency in the estimation process.

Bid Proposals:

- Develop comprehensive bid proposals for submission to clients, ensuring alignment with project requirements and budget constraints.
- Present and defend estimates to internal stakeholders and clients as needed.

Collaboration:

- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to refine estimates and address project-specific challenges.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration across departments to streamline the estimation process.

Cost Tracking:

- Monitor and track project costs during construction, comparing actual costs to estimated costs.
- Analyze discrepancies and provide insights for continuous improvement in estimating accuracy.

Vendor and Supplier Relations:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to optimize procurement processes.

Qualifications:

• Previous construction or labor experience preferred but not required — we’re willing to train the right person.
• Ability to perform physical labor and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Commitment to safety and teamwork.
