Responsibilities

Project & Crew Leadership

• Lead, supervise, and coordinate framing crews on residential and/or commercial projects.
• Serve as the main point of contact between crew members, project managers, and site supervisors.

Framing & Construction Oversight

• Interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate layout and framing.
• Ensure all framing work meets company quality standards and inspection requirements.

Site Preparation & Organization

• Coordinate site setup, material staging, and daily cleanup.
• Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available and properly positioned for efficient workflow.
• Maintain an organized, professional, and hazard-free job site.

Tools, Equipment & Materials

• Ensure proper use, care, and maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Monitor material usage and report shortages or damage to project management.
• Enforce correct handling of power tools and equipment by all crew members.

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Conduct daily safety checks and ensure proper use of PPE.

Communication & Coordination

• Communicate clearly with project managers regarding progress, scheduling, and issues.
• Coordinate with other trades to keep projects moving efficiently.
• Foster respectful, professional communication among crew members.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in framing construction; foreman or lead carpenter experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of framing methods, building codes, and construction plans.
• Ability to lead a crew and manage time effectively.
• Physically capable of performing hands-on framing work as needed.
• Reliable, organized, and solutions-oriented mindset.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
